Someone decided to feature one of my photos again! The first feature was a quite a while ago here http://news.deviantart.com/article/153291/, featured by ~panda69680102 (https://www.deviantart.com/panda69680102). Both feature news articles contain a lot of nice work.  It's nice to be recognized, but I have a lot to aspire to as well.

Winter is practically done.  So with spring around the corner, that means more opportunities to go outside.  And more opportunities to go outside means...more chances to take some photographs.  Yay! Provided, of course, I remember to lug my camera with me.  Oh yeah, and visit some photogenic places.  And am not too busy chasing down a toddler.  Life is busy. I missed a few good photo opportunities the other day.  Nasty storm outside, lots of lightning.  I've always wanted to try to photograph lightning, but I'm not quite sure how.  I can probably Google some tips.  Maybe if I catch a few shots that aren't totally awful I'll  add them to the

I've finally gotten around to trying to attack a backlog of photos I've taken since June, going through them, picking out the best, cropping them and posting them. I'm only 4 months behind -- that's good if you're me :)  Of course, I still might dig up something nice that I missed, and have others to go through.  I just don't have a lot of opportunities for finding photo worthy scenes. This batch also marks the first time I've used my DSLR's "raw" function.  And after seeing what RAW can do in terms of fixing the color balance -- I don't think I'm going back to normal shooting again. I'm really happy about how some of this batch turned out
